Friday Fives with Tiffani Thiessen (April 11, 2014)
If you are a male that hit adolescence in the early 90's, there's an extremely good chance that today's Friday Fives guest was one of your first crushes ever. There's also a good chance that you peaked way back then. Sorry. It's been all downhill since 1993.
Tiffani Thiessen, on the other hand, is still killing it. Most recenty she's been doing a lot of cooking and throwing dinner parties, as evidenced by her recent Cooking Channel special, Dinner At Tiffani's. For the hour, Tiffani invited the cameras inside her home as some of her longtime friends and acting buddies dropped by to test out a few of her favorite recipes. Because these are the things we do as adults.
When she's not cooking, acting, or taking care of her kids, you can keep up with Tiffani on Twitter and Instagram. You might even spot her at some of her favorite NYC restaurants, five of which are listed below. Just don't be a stalker. You aren't cool like AC Slater, no matter how much you think you look like him (you don't).
The NoMad (1170 Broadway) — "I love the dark sexy vibe it has and they definitely have the best roasted chicken to be shared by two people."
Dinner with the Parents
Todd English Food Hall (1 W. 59th St.) — "My parents claim this as their favorite restaurant (it's actually a food hall underneath the Plaza Hotel with Luke's Lobster, Sushi Of Gari, No. 7 Sub etc). They can order different types of food all from the same place."
Impressing Out of Towners
ABC Kitchen (35 E 18th St.) — "This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. This and ABC Cocina. A fan of Dan Kluger I am indeed."
Hudson Common/Tequila Park (356 W. 58th St.) — "This is a fun outdoor space we go to often when the weather is nice. They have great food and fun margaritas too."
Marea (240 Central Park S.) — "Everything here is to die for. Fresh and beautifully put together."
The Smith (1900 Broadway) — "This is a staple for us in NYC. Consistently good food, and it's easy with kids."
