The actress, 39, talked to Parade.com about her very full house, how she balances work and motherhood, and her teen queen legacy.
On her love of animals.
"I'm a new mom, and I think when you have kids, your whole world changes and it becomes about your kids, but we can't forget about our critters! You want to make sure they're taken care of as well. We take our pets to the park every single day, and we go for hikes on the weekends."
On teaching daughter Harper how to be a good pet owner.
"She helps daddy feed the dogs every single morning, and she helps me feed the cat. She loves to go to the dog park and throws the ball for them. We want to teach her the same kind of compassion towards animals that my husband and I have been taught."
On how she juggles work and family.
"Deep breaths, yoga, and wine at night! And my mother. My mom is a huge help. I would not be able to do it unless we had her."
On reaching a new generation of fans through Saved by the Bell reruns.
"It seems like every five years there's a new generation of kids that are watching the show. It's funny. I don't know if that show will ever die! It seems like it will live forever."
On the end of Season 4 of White Collar.
"I can definitely promise another crazy cliffhanger, which is what we're known for. It's going to be suspenseful and a little shocking. I can't wait to start shooting Season 5 in April. I love my cast and my crew. I truly enjoy going to work every day, and I haven't been able to say that about every job I've had!"
