Tiffani Thiessen -- Quick Article

"What I loved about Abigail Adams in that show was you had someone who was incredibly supportive of her husband but was a really strong person in her own right. That was sort of the catalyst to start moulding Elizabeth."

OK, wait a darn minute. The still ludicrously attractive Thiessen isn't 19 any more?

"Exactly," she said with a laugh. "Which hey, you know, if people want to think that, I don't have a problem with it."

Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar "Sad" for Dustin Diamond

Posted October 21, 2009

I tried keeping this pretty hush-hush on the site, considering we're not here to read up on Tiffani's "supposedly" sexcapades from Dustin Diamond's "Behind the Bell" book, however; Tiffani comments on it from National Ledger:

Working in New York on her new USA Network series, "White Collar," she says that she and fellow "Bell" alum Mark-Paul Gosselaar "talk a lot -- his play ('The Understudy') is in previews here -- and we feel bad for him. I talk to a lot of people from the show. We feel more sorry for him than anything. Some of the accusations he makes are a little ridiculous. They're comical."

Diamond, still best known as Screech from the old show, "generally felt a little more of an outcast," Thiessen recalls. "His mother died of cancer when he was young, and his father was, well, maybe not the best father. He walked away with a little bit of a bitter taste. I don't know why. We were never mean to him; I know that. He played a geek and was a little bit of a geek himself."

As for the "Bell" actors' responses, she says: "What are you going to do? We're not out there to bash him. ... I hope something will turn for him."

The article also mentions her work on "White Collar"

"It's the boys' show. I actually don't work as much as they do. Taking a job more on the supporting side is nice after having worked 17-hour days my whole career," says Thiessen, whose series work also includes "Beverly Hills, 90210." "I do love everyone I'm working with on this show -- which I haven't been able to say on some other shows."

Tiffani Has A Way To Prepare Your Skin for Fall

Posted October 12, 2009

We recently met Tiffani Thiessen at a screening of USA Network's new series White Collar--and we asked what she is going to change in her beauty routine this fall. "I always use a richer moisturizer, and now that I'm living in Manhattan for half the year, the wind and cooler air is a change from L.A.--so my skin really needs the extra moisture." She loves Cellcosmet Concentrated Night Cream Treatment.

10 Things You Didn't Know About the Cast of White Collar

Posted October 12, 2009

Pop Timal gives us Ten Things You Didn't Know About the Cast of White Collar (the Tiff parts):

10. They actually like each other. No, this was not your garden variety "let's be cordial to each other in front of the press but secretly don't even interact" group of actors, they actually really like each other, and it shows. And it made us like them, too.

5. Tiffani Thiessen is pocket-sized. And stunning. Seriously, celebrities are almost all considerably shorter than one would expect, but this girl is legitimately tiny -- and skinny and flawless. You want to hate her for it, but you just can't. Which brings me to my next item...

4. I take back my previously held opinion that she didn't fit in as well as the other cast members. After the writers figured out what her character's profession would be and how she would better play off her on-screen husband played by Tim DeKay and 'the other woman' played by Matt Bomer, she now brings a whole lot more to the show than she did in her brief pilot appearance. The rough cut did not do her justice, and they've had a chance to develop Elizabeth Burke further -- so I stand corrected (which I rarely do, and I'll deny it if I have to).

1. Tiffani Thiessen is a closet Real Housewives of Orange County fan. To be fair, this had to be coaxed out of her, along with her love for CBS Sunday Morning news. Hey, just because they're on TV doesn't mean we can judge them for what they watch (to their faces, at least).

Tiffani Thiessen Wears A "White Collar"

Posted August 12, 2009

Tiffani Thiessen gets high billing on the new show White Collar, even though she plays the supporting role of the wife of the main cop. Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) has to team up with con artist Neal Caffrey (Matthew Bomer) to catch high class crooks. Thiessen plays Elizabeth Burke, but she's getting all the attention for the show.

Tiffani Thiessen Wears A White Collar

"I definitely chuckled at first, but I think there are reasons about why they do things," Thiessen said. "They're being smart. I guess I'm somewhat in their minds a little recognizable. So that's why."

After iconic runs on Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills 90210, as well as short-lived favorites like Fastlane, Thiessen was looking for another TV show. "I had actually read the script and I fell in love with it. I was in love with it from the moment that I read it. I went in and fought for it. I actually didn't get it at first. They couldn't find the woman. They turned me down. I said, 'No. You don't understand. I want this role.'"

It may be a detective show, but Thiessen thought Mrs. Burke was the juiciest part. "She's labeled as the perfect wife and so for my husband I want to be the perfect wife. But this role, it's funny. I think this is the role that's the closet to me in real life that I've ever done which is probably why I liked it so much. I like that I'm playing my age. I like that I'm playing a married woman. I like that I'm playing successful and smart and all those things that I want to be as a woman and that I am married and I am thirty five."

White Collar starts in October on USA.

Tiffani Puts Baby Plans On Hold

Posted August 12, 2009

With a new series, White Collar, in the works, actress Tiffani Thiessen says that motherhood will have to wait.

Though Tiffani revealed last year that she and her husband Brady Smith hope "to get pregnant soon," she recently told reporters that they've put their parenthood plans on hold for now.

"We've talked about it, but the show started, so we're going to wait and try to figure out when the best time is. I don't want to spring a pregnancy on a brand new show that I just got on."

Now 35 years old, the former Saved by the Bell star says she doesn't feel pressure to have a child right away.

"Not really, maybe because I don't feel 35," she says, adding, "I have friends who are having kids in their 40s."

Tiffani Thiessen Too Busy For Babies

Posted August 06, 2009

The baby bell is not tolling for former Saved by the Bell star Tiffani Thiessen. While promoting her upcoming USA cable show, White Collar, Tiffani told reporters she's not stressing out about having kids with her husband --- even though she's hit age 35.

"We've talked about it, but the show started, so we're going to wait and try to figure out when the best time is," she said. "I don't want to spring a pregnancy on a brand new show that I just got on."

So she really feels no pressure?

"Not really, maybe because I don't feel 35," she explains. "I have friends who are having kids in their 40s."

Tiffani just celebrated her four-year anniversary with her husband, and they'll now have a commuter marriage, as she shoots White Collar in New York while he stays in L.A.

"It's going to be really hard," sighs Tiffani, who recently had a Saved by the Bell reunion. They are "going to be doing a lot of flying," in the four and a half months Tiffani shoots her series.

Tiffani & Jason To Appear on "Design Star"

Posted July 15, 2009

Tiffani and Jason Priestley are set to star on Design Star this season!

"Design Star," which typically averages 2 to 3 million people viewers per episode, has created two HGTV stars with their own shows: David Bromstad from season one and Kim Myles from season two.

Set in Los Angeles this season, "Design Star" will feature celebrity guests such as Kathy Griffin, Jason Priestley and Tiffani Thiessen. The series was taped in March at a 10,000 square foot, 7-bedroom mansion in the Hollywood Hills where celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball have lived. It also has been used in numerous films and TV shows and was where Marilyn Monroe filmed her last scene.

I'm not certain both Jason and Tiffani will appear on the same episode. More information will follow once received.

Tiffani Thiessen is scuppering plans for a full-cast reunion of TV show "Saved By The Bell," according to reports.

Talk show host Jimmy Fallon has launched a campaign to reunite the characters from the iconic 1990s kids show.

He has so far convinced Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dennis Haskins and Mario Lopez, but has hit a stumbling block over Thiessen, who went on to star in "Beverly Hills 90210."

A source tells Us Weekly, "In her mind, a reunion would remind audiences she hasn't done anything for years. We're trying to get her to do it because it would actually be great for her career."

The Bell That Keeps On Saving

Posted June 25, 2009

However, now that he's been on YouTube pitching the reunion, and former cast members such as Elizabeth Berkeley and Mario Lopez have also signed up, Gosselaar worries his intentions may have been misconstrued. He doesn't want to strong-arm former castmates back to Bayside High School.

"I did it for me and for my show and for Fallon," he says. "I don't want Tiffani [Thiessen] to feel like she needs to throw on a cheerleading outfit and become Kelly again."

But if Thiessen wants to restart her Hollywood career, perhaps donning the cheerleader outfit is her best bet.

Tiffani is Torn Between Work and Motherhood

Posted May 17, 2009

With a TV career heating up again and a biological clock ticking, Tiffani Thiessen is debating whether she wants to have kids or stay busy working.

"We're definitely talking about [kids]. We're just trying to figure out the whole work schedule now," Thiessen, 35, told PEOPLE at Thursday's USA Network and Vanity Fair Character Project party in Beverly Hills.

Thiessen married actor/artist Brady Smith in May 2005. In 2008 she told PEOPLE that plans for children were imminent, saying that the couple was "hoping to get pregnant soon."

Since then, the actress — best-known for her work on Saved By the Bell and the original Beverly Hills 90210 has been hanging out with her husband and filming the pilot for her new USA drama White Collar.

"I took a little break for a while, which was nice, just concentrated on being a newly married girl and all that," she said. "My schedule wasn't too, too crazy, so I can't complain. I'm sure it's going to get crazier as the show goes on!"

Especially if she decides to have a baby too. "I've never done it — it's going to be a whole new thing," Thiessen says of combining motherhood with a starring role on a TV show.

For now, Thiessen and her husband are looking forward to his next big project. Smith is busy putting together an art show that will showcase in Los Angeles June 20, which according to Thiessen, is "huge."

"White Collar" nearing pickup at USA

Posted March 25, 2009

USA is close to giving a series order to "White Collar," with the pickup expected to be sealed after final details are worked out.

"Collar," from Fox TV Studios and creator Jeff Eastin, revolves around the unlikely pairing of a brilliant con artist (Matthew Bomer) and the head of the FBI's white-collar crime unit (Tim DeKay).

Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason and Willie Garson co-starred in the pilot, which was directed by Bronwen Hughes.

With the odd couple at its center, "Collar" could be a potential companion for the James Roday-Dule Hill starrer "Psych," whose longtime lead-in, "Monk," is headed into its final season.

"Collar" was one of three 90-minute cast-contingent pilots that top cable network USA ordered last year, all of which, including "Royal Pains" and "Operating Instructions," got cast and produced.

"Collar" would be the second of the trio to receive a series order after "Pains" was picked up for 11 episodes in January.
